About Pollie Rafferty

I’m Pollie — a woman who has spent a lifetime listening between the lines.

I’ve been the carer, the advocate, the parent navigating neurodivergence, the one holding everything together while quietly unravelling inside. I’ve been the woman who shows up for everyone else and forgets to leave space for herself. I’ve been the one who lost her voice… and had to learn how to reclaim it piece by piece.

Change the Script™ was born from that journey.

Not from theory.

Not from a textbook.

But from lived experience, deep empathy, and a fierce belief that women like us deserve to be heard — fully, safely, and without apology.

Why I Do This Work

For years, I watched women — especially carers, parents, and neurodivergent women — shrink themselves to fit into systems that were never designed for them. I saw how often we’re dismissed, misunderstood, or told we’re “too emotional,” “too sensitive,” or “too much.”

I know what it feels like to be exhausted by the emotional labour no one sees.

I know what it feels like to mask your needs because you don’t want to be a burden.

I know what it feels like to lose confidence in your own voice.

And I also know what becomes possible when a woman finally feels heard.

Her shoulders drop.

Her breath deepens.

Her story shifts.

Her power returns.

That moment — that soft, seismic shift — is why I do this work.

My Approach

Everything I create is:

  • Trauma‑informed

  • Emotionally intelligent

  • Neurodivergent‑friendly

  • Shame‑free and pressure‑free

  • Rooted in story, compassion, and lived experience

I don’t believe in hustle culture, performance, or “fixing” women.
I believe in witnessing, validating, and reclaiming.

My work blends narrative transformation, creative expression, and gentle coaching to help women find their voice again — not the polished, perfect version, but the real one. The one that’s been waiting underneath the noise.

What I Bring to This Space

• Over a decade of storytelling, teaching, and facilitation

• Training in narrative therapy, psychology and storytelling

• A gift for creating safe, spacious environments where women feel seen

• A calm, grounding presence that helps people exhale

• A rebellious softness — the kind that challenges the systems that silence us

• A belief that your story is powerful, even if you can’t see it yet

I’m not here to tell you who to be.

I’m here to help you hear yourself again.

Beyond the Work

I’m a AuDHD mum to neurodiverse children, a lover of metaphor-rich storytelling, a podcast host, and a woman who understands fluctuating capacity all too well. I build my business from my home in Seaford, balancing creativity, caregiving, and the deep desire to make the world better for women.

I believe in slow mornings, warm drinks, and conversations that feel like a soft blanket.

I believe in community over competition.

I believe in rewriting the stories that have kept us small.
